After 7 seasons, "Mad Men" has come to an end. It ended with a rendition of "I'd Like to Buy the World a Coke," a jingle from the 1970s that Coca-Cola used in radio and television advertising.

Because of our strong roots in music, we paid special attention to this article about the last scene of "Mad Men," which discusses the "I'd Like to Buy the World a Coke" tune.

It really shows that, when used effectively, music can become part of a culture and define a time period. People can remember and relate to a jingle, even decades after seeing a spot. The song even spurred the creation of the song, "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing."

Congrats to Roger Greenaway, the writer of the "I'd like to Buy the World a Coke" song. He created something timeless and memorable.
